Abstract is the most enjoyabe art form for me...

To be able to work without being hindered by my own technical skill and failed attempts at perspective.
Abstract allows me to live in the moment, and not have to fret about whether it looks like what it is supposed to be, whether I've got the anatomy right or whether I even own the right colours to complete it.

Because in the end, it is subjective.

This piece is called Troubled Seas, because I see waves crashing against a rock.

Tell me...
What do you see?

Acrylic on cardboard.

I've been seeing it as more of a sea serpent.

"waves crashing against a rock" ... I'd say a ship sailing in a blooded sea and a creature hanging above it ready to destroy ...I don't know if that was intentional but I see it quite clearly. Another alternative for a title would be.... hmm... "Lost" cause the ship most probably didn't plan to get there :)

Sort of serpent-like with a glowing red eye? I just noticed that now.

It looks like a volcano with lava and the ash cloud.
